With the Miami Dolphins deep in an offseason overhaul, one thing remains clear: De’Von Achane isn’t going anywhere. Even as talks seem to be in limbo at this moment.
Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan made his position unambiguous this week, stating that Achane is “not available for trade” and that contract extension talks are “trending in the right direction.”
The declaration comes at a pivotal moment for a franchise that has shed significant talent this offseason — releasing Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and trading Jaylen Waddle to Denver. In a roster stripped down to its studs, Achane stands out as Miami’s most valuable offensive weapon and the clearest building block for new head coach Jeff Hafley’s rebuild.
The 24-year-old had a career year in 2025, rushing for 1,350 yards, 8 touchdowns, and adding 67 receptions for 488 yards — earning his first Pro Bowl selection in the process.
Extension talks are ongoing, and with the NFL Draft just around the corner, Miami’s commitment to keeping Achane signals where their priorities lie heading into 2026.
